Genealogy is hard to spell, but photography is easier.

I have an essay about the former on the Michigan Quarterly Review blog here as part of a project masterminded by Virginia Konchan, which also includes work by Liz Hildreth, Elisa Gabbert, Tyler Mills, Rebecca Hazelton and more.

As for the latter, my first published photograph (whoa!) is here, as the cover of the September issue of Open Letters Monthly. Thanks to Virginia at MQR and John Cotter at OLM for including me.
