Racine, Wisconsin is a nice place to live.

September 26, 2010 by Kathleen Rooney

See?
It’s also a nice place to read, thanks to Nick Demske, poet and curator of the BONK! Performance Series: Last night, I read in the series……along with Nate Slawson…

..and then after the readings, there was a performance by the Captivate Dance Troupe from the Laurenzi Dance Studio of Kenosha. They were so captivating, though, that I totally forgot to take any pictures, but you can read more about them here.  The crowd was excellent……and Racine is also located right on Lake Michigan, so that was excellent, too: Thanks to Nick for running such a great series, to my fellow readers and performers, to the audience, and to Racine itself for being so pretty. And nice. Definitely nice.
