This year’s AWP Conference was held in Seattle (and, of course, on Twitter), and both in real life and virtually, it was one of the best ones I’ve been to, and I’ve been going since 2003. I got to see so many excellent people in person who I normally only see on the internet, including Elisa Gabbert, pictured here in the vasty book fair…
…and Gretchen Henderson, RMP author Kelcey Parker, and Caitlin Horrocks, as well as Cathy Day (not pictured because she took the photo) at our panel called “Please Mind the Gap,” which focused on how to creatively write historical figures:
And speaking of the book fair, here are just some of the books I picked up there that I look forward to reading, including titles by Sarah Bartlett, Nick Demske, Sommer Browning, and Kimberly Southwick, as well as forthcoming Rose Metal Press author Nicelle Davis:
