…is the number of poems that we wrote while doing Poems While You Wait today at Family Day at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, where they had the excellent idea of letting poem-requesters draw pictures and having us type our poems on the back in response, like so:
This requester drew a picture of and asked for a poem on the subject of “Homework Time,” and then watched it get created…
Thanks to the MCA for having us, and to all the poets who poemed…
…and to all the MCA-goers who drew pictures of and asked for poems on such topics as “procrastination,” “wolf,” “Brownian Motion,” “owls,” and “my sister Agnes,” among many, many others. Stay tuned to the PWYW Tumblr for the results.
