…in Orland Park just kicked off their Visiting Writer Series, and they invited me to be the inaugural visiting writer.  Teachers Kathryn Guelcher and Tom McGuire introduced me before my two readings…

…to a set of wonderful audiences….

…and then I got to sign books…

…and give a workshop on setting. The students and teachers were all welcoming and full of thoughtful questions, and I had a great time visiting. Thank you to everyone who spent part of their normal Sandburg Friday school day with me, and to Sandburg alum Becky Wills for helping to make it all happen!
