Winter is sticking around, but Winter Quarter is ending, which means that yesterday was the first day of final presentations in our Advanced Poetry workshop at DePaul. Each of the 14 students is making a 15-copy limited edition chapbook of their own original poetry, and the results so far have been beautiful both inside and out. Here is the story-in-poems, But I Know the Reason Why You Keep Your Silence Up by Becky Wills…
…and the collage-filled Gnomes & Illusions by Alex Pate…
…and the comic-book-inspired The *Insert Adjective* *Insert Power* Man by Andreas Tsironis…
…and The Eulogy by Cassie Peurala…
…whose packaging is meant to look like a deliverable speech…
…and Love Notes from Dinosaurs by Carly Maria Hubbard:
Stay tuned for more chapbooks on Monday.
