Last night, in Chicago, as part of his tireless touring  to promote both the book (which you can buy here) and the under-rated form itself, he invited me to read two of my favorite sestinas, including “Travel Notes” by Weldon Kees, which is in the anthology, and “I’m Obsessed with my Wife” by Nicole Steinberg, which is not:

And he also invited these local-and-not-so-local poets–Jonah Winter, Quraysh Ali Lansana, Marty McConnell, Kent Johnson, Jenny Boully, Elizabeth Hildreth, and Michael Costello–to read from the anthology, and talk about their own sestinas:
