March 3, 2013 by KR

…I did the fourteenth ever reading from Robinson Alone in the Dark of the Male, Light of the Female: Women Writing About Horrible Things series at Uncharted Books. The inimitable Meghan Lamb…005

…put together an amazing line-up of readers including Tovah Burstein, who read a delicious poem-essay-poem sandwich…

003

…Jamie Kazay (you say it Kaz-EYE, you guys)…012

…Hillary Stone, who (pictured here with Mason Johnson) sang a rollicking folk song about back-alley abortion…015

…Caroline Picard, who read a super-smart piece of art criticism and wore an incredible fur hat…017

…Tim Jones-Yelvington, who read about sequins…019

…and Olivia Lilley, who did a staged reading of the first part of a very funny play in progress, but she did it in the almost pitch-dark so I don’t have pictures. I also don’t have pictures of me reading, so here, please have this photograph instead. I call it “Birthday Self-Portrait with Mustache, Cole’s Bar, 3.2.13:”026

While I’m at it, please also have this picture of Ramona, the bookstore dog…024

…and the beautiful…007

…beautiful…008
