Kathleen Rooney is a poet and a writer. With Abby Beckel, she is a founding editor of Rose Metal Press. With Elisa Gabbert, she is the author of That Tiny Insane Voluptuousness (Otoliths, 2008). With Counterpoint Press, her prose collection For You, For You I Am Trilling These Songs is now available. With Liz Hildreth, Dave Landsberger, Daniela Olszewska, Eric Plattner, and Kenyatta Rogers, she comprises Poems While You Wait, typewritten poetry, composed on demand. With her husband, the writer Martin Seay, she lives in Chicago, where she works as a Visiting Assistant Professor of English and Creative Writing at DePaul University. With Gold Wake Press, her latest book, Robinson Alone, winner of the 2013 Eric Hoffer Book Award in Poetry, is available as of Fall 2012. With Fifth Star Press, her debut novel, O, Democracy!, is forthcoming in 2014.
